We headed out of Mystic and up toward Providence.
Took a right and headed for Cape Cod.
Unfortunately, we never made it all the
way to
the seashore. It was just too long a drive.
We
did make it to the Martha's Vineyard Ferry
and saw
the island from the distance, but then decided
to head
on up North. We arrived in Old Orchard at
about 4pm.
We had a beautiful little cottage right
near the beach.
We went for a little walk on the beach and
then
headed downtown for some lobster.

The pier, which is the reason I chose Old Orchard Beach,
but unfortunately everything was already closed down for winter!!
I got up bright and early and got some pictures
of something I rarely got to see when we
lived by the ocean in Hawaii,
the sun RISING over the ocean
