Well, it's time for a vacation, but this one
will be at home in Hawaii. My Mom
is coming to visit for 3 weeks so we
get to play tourist for a while.

She arrived on Wednesday night and then I 
had to work all weekend so we started the
vacation on Thursday after Mom recovered 
from her jet lag with a trip down to South Point.

On Tuesday we headed out to Maui
for 4 days.

On Sunday we went out to Waikaloa
for two days of rest and relaxtion.

On the way home from Waikaloa
we went on a Kona whale watch.

Wednesday we drove over to Hilo
via Saddle Road so we could see the snow on Mauna
Kea, then took a wagon ride through Waipio Valley
and went down to check out the volcano at night.

Thursday and Friday we toured 
with Jerry and Bobby who came
over the the Island Princess cruise boat.

Mom and David rested over the weekend while
I went to work on Sat and Sun. Then
on Monday we flew out to Honolulu
for a couple of days of fun there
before Mom had to leave on Wed nite.

It was a great visit and we probably wore Mom out.
She'll have to get some rest now back in
Louisiana. We'll be seeing her again soon,
I'm sure. At least by August when we go
to New Orleans for the wedding.
